The Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) shipping company
The Italian shipping company Grandi Navi Veloci– GNV for short – was founded in 1992 by Aldo Grimaldi. The company is headquartered in Genoa. The owner is the Swiss-Italian shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC). The fleet’s Ferries are deployed in the Mediterranean.
Ferry cruise with comfort and excellent service
The company’s fleet consists of Ferries and ferry cruise ships. The latter combine transportation across the Mediterranean with the advantages of a cruise ship in a most pleasant way. Comfortable cabins, excellent service and a wide range of entertainment make your crossing a special experience. On board there are restaurants that will spoil you with international and Mediterranean cuisine. Comfortable armchairs, cabins or suites can be booked for the crossing. Persons with reduced mobility will appreciate appropriately equipped cabins. Pets are welcome on board in designated cabins. The offer may vary depending on Ferry and the season.
Important Grandi Navi Veloci (GNV) ferry connections
There are currently 15 Ferries on 17 different routes. The Italian mainland ports are Genoa, Civitavecchia, Bari and Naples. From here, crossings are made to Sardinia, Sicily, Albania, France, Spain and Tunisia. There are also ferry connections from Genoa, Sète and Barcelona to Morocco. Depending on the route, connections are offered one to seven times a week. The journey time ranges from around nine hours on the Bari – Durres route to just under 40 hours on the Sète – Tanger Med route.
