You should be in the port of Civitavecchia at least 120 minutes before departure. The port is located around 70 kilometers northwest of Rome and is easy to reach. Once there, follow the signs to the Ferries to Palermo.
At check-in, you show your ticket and ID. If you are traveling by car, your vehicle will also be checked. You will then be directed to the waiting lane until boarding begins.
Embarkation usually starts 60 to 90 minutes before departure. You drive or walk on board and can get your bearings straight away. After casting off, the Ferries leaves the harbor and sets course for Sicily.
On board the Ferry
