- Coming from Amsterdam (north): Ferry south on the A4. Change to the A15 in the direction of Europoort. Follow the signs to the ferry port.
- From the direction of Antwerp (south): Ferry north on the E19/A1. In the Netherlands, change to the A4 and then to the A15 towards Europoort. Follow the signs to the ferry port.
- From the east (Germany): Ferries on the corresponding highways in the direction of the Netherlands. In the Netherlands, take the A15 towards Europoort. Follow the signs to the ferry port.

- From Paris (east): Ferry west on the A11 towards Le Mans, then take the A81 and finally the A84 towards Rennes. From Rennes, follow the D137 directly to Saint-Malo.
- From Nantes (south): Use the N137/E3 north towards Rennes, then continue on the N137 to Saint-Malo.
- From Brest (west): Ferry east on the N12 to Saint-Brieuc, then take the D712 and the D768 to Saint-Malo. The ferry port is then signposted.

The Strait of Dover connects the North Sea with the Atlantic Ocean and separates the European mainland from Great Britain. Changing tides create strong currents here. The narrowest part of the English Channel is just 33 kilometers wide, at the end of which the white cliffs of Dover welcome travelers from France.

Dunkirk has a 15-kilometre-long and very wide sandy beach, which is ideal for long walks.
The English city of Dover is known for its ferry port and offers travelers a wide range of impressive sights. The famous chalk cliffs are up to 106 meters high and Dover Castle is one of the mightiest castle complexes in Europe.
