Sicily’s capital Palermo invites with its imposing cathedral, Norman palace and baroque facades to an extensive city stroll. Through the old town to the beach, where numerous cafés await you with a real Italian cappuccino.

If you are a fan of baroque architecture, Noto is the place to be. An earthquake in 1693 destroyed almost the entire city. The reconstruction in the Baroque style was characterized by wide streets, squares, open staircases, palaces and churches. In 2002 Noto became part of the world cultural heritage.

The picturesque town of Agrigento is situated on a hill and is famous for its ancient ruins and the Valley of the Temples. Here you can visit the temple of Hera and Heracles. The Concordia Temple has been completely preserved – apart from the roof. Pure fascination!

Etna is the highest active volcano in Europe at 3,323 metres. In 2017, he said, his last outbreak occurred. By cable car and bus you can reach an altitude of 2,900 metres. The rest of the way to the summit can only be done on foot – accompanied by a mountain guide.
