The Grimaldi Lines shipping company

The Italian shipping company Grimaldi Lines is part of the Grimaldi Group. The company transports both passengers and freight in numerous countries. The proximity of the Grimaldi family to the sea and seafaring can be traced back to 1348. In 1947, five Grimaldi brothers founded their own shipping company, which initially specialized in transporting goods and later carried passengers across the Atlantic. The management has always been able to adapt skilfully to market conditions. Thus, the company took advantage of the economic boom, offered vehicle transports, expanded new routes and led the company to the top. Today it is one of the largest ferry companies in Italy.

Leave everyday life behind with good service and the best entertainment

On board the Grimaldi Lines ships, you can look forward to a wide range of gastronomic offerings. Whether à la carte or self-service, whether a small snack or Mediterranean delicacies, everyone will find something to suit them here. Pleasant entertainment is provided by a piano bar, live music, video games, a casino and a disco. On the sun terrace you will find an outdoor pool with comfortable loungers, and in the onboard shop you can choose from a wide range of products until late in the evening. A play area, movies and a mini library await younger guests.

For the duration of your passage you can choose from a variety of accommodation options. From inexpensive upholstered armchairs to comfortable cabins and luxurious suites, there is something for every budget. Persons with reduced mobility have their needs taken very seriously and enjoy a safe and carefree crossing. Dogs are welcome on board. However, leashes and muzzles are compulsory on the outside decks.

Major ferry routes

On its ferry routes, the shipping company connects the Italian mainland(Savona, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Salerno and Brindisi) with the islands of Corsica (Porto Vecchio), Sardinia (Olbia and Porto Torres), Sicily (Palermo, Catania and Trapani) and Malta(Valletta). There are also ferry connections to Greece(Igoumenitsa, Patras and Corfu), Spain(Barcelona), Morocco(Tangier) and Tunisia(Tunis). Depending on the route, between one and 14 crossings are offered per week. With a duration of almost 48 hours, the Savona – Tangier route takes the most time.
