- From the direction of Trieste (east): Also take the A4 highway west to Venice. Then drive as described above.

- From the direction of Athens (south): Use the A1/E75 highway heading north to Lamia and then change to the E65 heading west to the E92. This will take you directly to Igoumenitsa.
- From the direction of Albania (north): Ferry south on the SH4/E853 and cross the border to Greece at Kakavija. Follow the E853 to Ioannina and change there to the E92 or the A2 towards Igoumenitsa. Both roads will take you to the port of Igoumenitsa.
