Stena Line Ferry STENA VISION leaves the Rosslare-Cherbourg route
Changes to Stena Line’s Ireland route
Stena Line has announced that the Ferry STENA VISION will no longer be deployed on the route between Rosslare in Ireland and Cherbourg in France from October 27, 2024. Instead, the STENA HORIZON will continue to serve the route, carrying freight and passengers three times a week.
Alternatives with increasing demand
Should demand for freight or passenger capacity on the route increase, Stena Line has announced that it will make additional ships available. This means that the STENA HORIZON will remain the central link between Ireland and France.
Uncertain future for STENA VISION
The future of the STENA VISION, which entered service in 1987, is currently unclear. Stena Line is examining various options with a view to possibly deploying the ship on another route. The 175-metre-long Ferry offers space for 1,700 passengers and 1,628 loading meters for freight and vehicles.
