Attica Group charters TT-Line Ferry AKKA for Superfast Ferries

New Ferry for the Italy-Greece route

The Attica Group has acquired Ferry AKKA of the German shipping company TT-Line to serve as a replacement vessel during planned shipyard stays of Superfast Ferries to serve as a replacement ship. From February 10, 2025, the AKKA will be deployed weekly on the Patras-Igoumenitsa-Ancona-Patras and Patras-Igoumenitsa-Venice-Patras routes.

Longer crossings to Italy

According to Superfast Ferries, the AKKA takes 27 hours and 30 minutes to Ancona and 26 hours on the return journey. The connection to Venice takes 34 hours, the return journey 33 hours. The ship is expected to be listed in the Superfast Ferries timetable until the end of April.

More space for passengers and freight

The 2001 in Germany as NILS HOLGERSSONAKKA offers significantly more capacity than the AF CLAUDIA previously in service. With 227 cabins, it can accommodate up to 744 passengers – a major advantage over the AF CLAUDIA, which only has 76 cabins. The cargo capacity also increases to 2,600 loading meters.

Comfort on board

The AKKA is 190.75 meters long, 29.5 meters wide and reaches a maximum speed of 21.5 knots. In addition to a restaurant, a store and various catering facilities, it also offers a sauna and a fitness room.

Deployment planned for 12 months

The charter contract for the AKKA is to run for 12 months. On January 28, 2025, the ship was already on its way through the Kiel Canal towards the Mediterranean. This seems to confirm the takeover by the Attica Group.
