Special features of the Scandlines Ferries
Meanwhile, the two Ferries Berlin and Copenhagen are among the largest hybrid ferries in the world.
The Holger Danske operates on the Puttgarden-Rødby route. However, this Ferry is only intended for the transportation of hazardous goods by truck.
The Kronprins Frederik, which was previously used on the Rostock-Gedser route, now serves as a freight ferry for the Vogelfluglinie Puttgarden-Rødby and as a reserve ship for the Rostock-Gedser route. If one of the other Ferries breaks down due to a defect or other problems, the Kronprins Frederik is used here.
