With its ticket return service, Scandlines guarantees its customers the highest possible level of safety and flexibility. The service takes into to the fact that travel plans can change at any time. For this reason, the company offers an uncomplicated withdrawal of already booked ferry tickets and a full refund of the ticket price against payment of a surcharge.
A service that offers customers many advantages
With the ticket purchase there is the possibility to book the Scandlines ticket return service by paying a surcharge of 13 euros. In the event of cancellation or no-show, the ticket price will be refunded in full. Bookings can be made online, via app or at the service centre. Please note that when youto a FLEX ticket, cancellation and refund are already included in the ticket price.
Validity of the ticket return service
The ticket return service is valid for up to three months to first booked departure. After this date, refunds are no longer possible in the event of cancellation.
Procedure in case of ticket cancellation
Unused tickets can be cancelled online at Scandlines under the “My booking” tab. In the case of partially used tickets, a refund is only possible to written request, stating the booking number. To do this, you must contact the Scandlines Service Centre at buchung@scandlines.com and inform them of your wish for to refund.
Scope of the refund
In connection with the Scandlines ticket return service, the full ticket price will be refunded for unused tickets. For partially used tickets, only the remaining value of the original ticket price will be refunded under certain circumstances. For example, to route from Germany to Sweden, only completely unused Scandlines combined tickets can be refunded. Refunds will only be to the account or credit card used to to the ticket. Payment in cash is not envisaged.
