Check-in & departure at the ports

You should be at the port at least 60 minutes before departure. Check-in is well signposted in both Stavanger and Bergen. Have your travel documents ready. If you are traveling by car, follow the signs to the Ferries lane. Walk to the terminal building. The Ferry departs from the terminal up to twice a day and runs on time. Please check the booked departure time in good time.

On board the Ferry

The crossing takes around 5 hours and 30 minutes. During this time, you can relax in the quiet salons or on the outside deck and enjoy the Norwegian coastal landscape. Catering, seating and sanitary facilities are available. Even in cooler weather, you will find a pleasant spot on board.

Arrival at the ports

You will be informed via the on-board loudspeakers shortly before arrival. Please remain seated or stay in the public areas until you are allowed to disembark. If you arrive by car, follow the instructions of the staff. Walk through the terminal back to the port area. In both cities, you can reach the city center in a short time by public transport or cab.
