- From the west (via the E94): Ferry along the E94 towards Athens and then change to the E75/A1 towards Piraeus at exit 8B. Then drive as described above.
- From the east (Attica Road): Ferry along the Attica Road (A6) and then change at exit 8 onto the E75/A1 towards Piraeus. Then drive as described above.

If you are traveling by car on Crete, use the island’s main roads to get to Heraklion. From western Crete, ferry east on the E75 national road. From the eastern and southern parts of the island, follow the signs to Heraklion. Once in the city, head towards the harbor, which is well signposted.
