The capital of the island of La Gomera offers its visitors a beautiful old town and places truly steeped in history. Christopher Columbus stopped here several times on his voyages of discovery to the New World – including in 1492! Columbus House and Casa de la Aguada, a permanent exhibition about the discovery of America, bear witness to this period. A perfectly preserved fortress tower from the 15th century and the church Iglesia de la Asunción also know how to inspire.
