Getting here by car is very easy. The ferry port is well signposted. Just follow the main roads on the island.

The ferry port of Borkum can be reached via Ferries, which mainly depart from Emden and Eemshaven. The Ferries dock at the Borkum ferry port on Reedestraße.
Arrival by plane
- Borkum Airport (BMK): There are flight connections to Borkum Airport from various German cities. From the airport you can take a cab or the island bus to the ferry port.
Arrival by bus & train
The best way to reach the ferry ports of Emden or Eemshaven from the mainland is by train to Emden and then by bus or cab to Ferry. On Borkum itself, you can use the island bus to get to the ferry port.
Additional information
Private cars are allowed on Borkum, but there are seasonal restrictions, driving bans in the center and in parts of the main town from April to the end of October. The island is also easy to explore on foot, by bike or by public transport.
