From April 2022, travelers will be able to travel from Holland to Norway with Ferry. The drive from Eemshaven in Groningen will take around 18 hours. In addition to tourism, the “modern cruise ferry”, which will be chartered by Tallink for two years, is also intended for freight traffic, announced the new shipping company Holland Norway Lines announced.

From a business point of view, the connection is particularly interesting for Norway, according to the initiator. “For Norwegian holidaymakers, this offers new opportunities to get to the Netherlands easily and comfortably.” The new Ferry to Norway is also in line with sustainable tourism. The destination from the Netherlands is Kristiansand in the south of Norway.

Start in April 2022

The first crossing will take place on April 7, 2022, after which there will be an Ferry three times a week. There is currently only one crossing from Eemshaven to the German wadden island of Borkum. Earlier plans for a Ferry to Scotland fell through last year.
