Baleària and Fred. Olsen Express strengthens ferry connection between the Spanish mainland and the Canary Islands
More trips in summer
Good news for all those who want to travel between the Canary Islands and the Spanish mainland this summer: Baleària and Fred. The Olsen Express are expanding their ferry connections. From July 1 to September 30, they offer three to four trips per week in each direction. That means twice as many departures as last year.
Comfortable crossings
Two large ferries are used for the crossings: The SICILIA, with space for 1,000 passengers and 400 vehicles, and the MARIE CURIE, which can carry over 800 passengers and 600 vehicles. With this capacity, the ferry companies will be able to meet the expected high demand in the summer.
Timetable
Departures from Huelva to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife are on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. However, there is only one ferry connection to Tenerife on Wednesdays. The return trips from the islands are scheduled for Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays, with two trips from Tenerife on Thursdays.
