The Icelandic shipping company Seatours started in 1986 as a provider of excursions. Today, it is one of Iceland’s leading shipping companies and serves the west coast on its route. Its headquarters are located in Stykkisholmur.
With the Baldur comfortably to the northwest of Iceland
The Baldur is a modern passenger ship with enough space for 280 passengers and 49 vehicles. It is equipped with the latest safety technologies. On board, the Bára Restaurant serves hot and cold meals, refreshments and drinks. A children’s corner provides entertainment for the smallest passengers during the crossing. Free wifi is available. Pets travel on a leash or in an appropriate carrier in designated areas.
Major Seatours ferry routes
Seatours connects the coastal town of Stykkisholmur with the ferry terminal on just one ferry route Brjanslaekur in the northwest of Iceland. The trip across Breidafjordur Bay is offered all year round and can be interrupted on the island of Flatey.
As the island is car-free, your car travels ahead to Brjanslaekur and is parked there for you. During the summer months, the service is offered twice a day, and during the winter months, six times a week. In total, the crossing takes two hours and 30 minutes.
