The shipping company Jadrolinija
The Croatian shipping company Jadrolinja was established in 1947 through the merger of several smaller shipping companies, which until then had operated shipping along the coast. Its headquarters are located in Rijeka. Today, the company transports around twelve million passengers and three million cars annually. With a market share of 80 percent, it can undoubtedly call itself Croatia’s largest shipping company.
Travel comfortably across the Adriatic Sea with Jadrolinija
The fleet currently consists of 55 differently equipped Ferries. Along the coast there are smaller ships, catamarans and hydrofoils. Internationally, large cruise ferries are used. Most of the ships offer restaurants, cafes and a children’s area. It is also possible to spend longer crossings comfortably in a travel chair or a booked cabin. Pets are welcome on board and travel free of charge.
Major Jadrolinija ferry routes
The ferry routes of the Jadrolinja shipping company are strongly tourist-oriented and are therefore sometimes only offered seasonally. Here you should inform yourself in advance! On their routes, the ships connect the Croatian mainland with Italy and the offshore islands. During the summer months there are up to 600 departures a day, 24 hours a day.
