- Coming from Hamburg (south): Ferry north on the A1 to exit 20-Bad-Schwartau. Then follow the B226 to Lübeck-Siems. There the B226 merges into the B75. Just ferry on along the B75 in the direction of Travemünde. The ferry port is well signposted.
- From the direction of Schwerin, Rostock (east): Ferries on the A20 in the direction of Lübeck until exit 2b Lübeck-Süd. There you change to the B207 towards Lübeck. At the Berliner Platz traffic circle, turn left from the B75 towards Travemünde. Follow the B75 for a few kilometers. The ferry port Travemünde is then closed.
- From direction Kiel (North): Ferry south on the B76 towards Lübeck and change to the A1 towards Lübeck as far as exit 19-Sereetz. Then follow the B226 to Lübeck-Siems. There the B226 merges into the B75. Just ferry on along the B75 in the direction of Travemünde. The ferry port is well signposted.

If you are traveling from Berlin, first follow the A24 freeway and then the A19 freeway to the Rostock-Überseehafen exit. From there, follow the signs to the ferry port and the individual gates of Scandlines, Stena Line and TT-Line.
If you are traveling from Hamburg, first follow the A20 freeway to junction 16 Kreuz Rostock. From there, ferry onto the A19 highway in the direction of Rostock Ost/Rostock-Überseehafen. Then follow the A19 to the Rostock-Überseehafen exit. From there, follow the signs to the ferry port and the individual gates of Scandlines, Stena Line and TT-Line.
Arrival by public transport (bus & streetcar)
