Check-in and departure from the port of Stockholm

The Ferry from Stockholm to Turku runs up to three times a day. You should be at check-in 45 to 60 minutes before departure. Check-in for Tallink Silja’s Ferries is at Värtahamnen ferry terminal, check-in for Viking Line ‘s Ferries is at Tegelvikshamn ferry terminal (Stadsgården). Both are easy to reach by public transport. After checking in, you can start your journey on board the Ferry.

Do I have to book my tickets in advance?

Early booking is recommended, as the Ferries can be booked out quickly, especially in the high season.

Can I stay in the car during the crossing from Stockholm to Turku?

No, this is not permitted on ferries for safety reasons. You can stay in the public areas of ferry or in your cabin during the crossing. As soon as the ferry leaves the pier, you must leave the vehicle deck. Camping on board is also not permitted.

Can I charge my electric car on the Ferry to Turku?

No, on the Ferries of Tallink Silja and Viking Line it is not yet possible to charge your electric car during the crossing.
