Holiday at Baltic States
The Baltic States show travellers a multifaceted face. While the capital cities of Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius boast historic old towns and a wide range of restaurants, nature lovers will find untouched nature away from the big cities. Endless sandy beaches invite you to swim and take long walks, revealing many a treasure. Moose, lynx, wolves and brown bears still roam the moors and forests of the Baltic.
TOP excursion destinations at Baltic States
Estonia offers travellers 3,800 kilometres of coastline, 2,000 islands and unspoilt nature. In addition, there is a capital city of unique beauty. Tallinn inspires with a medieval old town and a well-preserved city wall. Kadriorg Castle and Haapsalu Bishop’s Castle are among the cultural treasures of the country. Estonia’s national parks offer extensive moors, forests and a protected habitat for a rich variety of flora and fauna. ››› ferries to Estonia On a stroll through Latvia’s capital Riga, travelers can look forward to around 800 magnificent Art Nouveau buildings.
Richly decorated with ornaments, oriels and magnificent facades, they accompany a stroll through the medieval old town. Away from the capital, the seaside resort of Jurmala, the baroque Rundale Castle or the ruins of Wenden Castle are among the highlights of a trip to Latvia. There are also beaches, upland moors, forests and unspoiled landscapes. ››› ferries to Latvia
Lithuania’s capital Vilnius awaits its guests with narrow streets, historic buildings and more than 50 churches. The seaside resort of Palanga was once luxurious, and the island castle of Trakai, with its towers and walls of red brick, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the country. Lithuania’s national parks protect untouched oak forests and moors, while the Curonian Spit delights nature lovers with its secluded sandy beaches and high dunes. ››› ferries to Lithuania
