- From the west (e.g. Bristol): Take the M4 freeway to junction 4b and follow the signs for the A34 towards Southampton. Continue on the A33 and then follow the signs to the harbor.
- From the east (e.g. Portsmouth): Ferry west on the M27 to the A3024 and follow the signs to Southampton Port.
