Port Riga
The Heart of the Baltic: Riga Riga fascinates! The capital of Latvia combines architectural beauty and culture. Famous wooden buildings, art nouveau architecture and a medieval old town create a very special atmosphere here. Together with the market square, cathedral and town hall, Riga’s old town was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. It is hard to believe that Riga also has a castle with a powder tower dating back to 1650. And where, according to historians, did the very first decorated Christmas tree stand? Well, in Riga.
