Port Puttgarden (Fehmarn)
Puttgarden is located in the north of the island of Fehmarn. The town is known for its lively ferry port. Here, the floating “Bordershop” offers pure shopping pleasure on four floors. The Grüner Brink nature reserve provides a protected habitat for rare water birds. A walk along the dyke leads to the Niobe monument. It commemorates the sailing ship of the same name that capsized here in 1932 in front of a school class and quickly sank.

- Follow the signs to the ferry port of Puttgarden, which is located in the north of the island.
Arrival by car via highways and roads
- From Hamburg: Ferry north on the A1 (Lübeck, Fehmarn) to the end of the highway. This leads directly to the B207, which takes you straight to the ferry port of Puttgarden.
- From Berlin: Ferry along the A24 towards Hamburg, change to the A1 towards Puttgarden and then follow the above route via the A1 and B207.
