Port Liverpool
What does Liverpool stand for? For its two traditional football clubs, for the Beatles, for the Royal Liver Building and for its inhabitants, officially called Liverpudlians. The historic part of the city has been a World Heritage Site since 2004, with Albert Dock and Pier Head being popular places to visit. The city has two cathedrals and several large museums. Speke Hall manor house impresses with its half-timbered construction and a garden dating back to 1598. Anyone traveling in the footsteps of the Beatles will be fascinated by Penny Lane, Cavern Club and “The Beatles Story”. And if you don’t know what a superlambanana is, the answer is also in Liverpool. From the 133-metre-high television tower, there is a unique view over the entire city.
