Travel by car to the Color Line terminal at Norwegenkai Kiel
- Coming from Hamburg (south): Ferry north on the A7 freeway to the Rendsburg junction and change there to the A210 towards Kiel. Follow the signs to the ferry port.
- From the direction of Flensburg (north): Ferry south on the A7 freeway to the Bordesholm exit and change to the A215 towards Kiel. Follow the signs to the ferry port.
- Coming from Berlin (east): Take the A24 towards Hamburg and then change to the A7 towards Flensburg. Follow the A215 to Kiel and follow the signs to the ferry port.

- Coming from Hamburg (south): Ferry north on the A7, change to the A215 towards Kiel. Follow the signs to the Ostuferhafen.
