- From Ischia Porto: If you are in Ischia Porto, the ferry port is very close. Just follow the signs to the ferry port along the main roads.
- From Casamicciola Terme: Take the Via Marina (SP270) southeast to Ischia Porto and then follow the signs to the ferry port.
- From Forio: Take the SP270 (Via Provinciale Panza) northeast to Casamicciola Terme and change there to Via Marina in the direction of Ischia Porto. Follow the signs to the ferry port.
- From Sant’Angelo or other southern parts of the island: Ferry north on Via Fondolillo towards Barano d’Ischia and then follow the SP270 west to Ischia Porto. Once there, follow the signs to the ferry port.

The cultural highlight of Ischia is without a doubt the medieval Castello Aragonese. It is picturesquely situated on a rock in the sea, connected to the mainland by a bridge. The contrast to beautiful churches and well-kept gardens is offered by the nuns’ crypt. The nuns of the monastery were once buried here sitting upright.
The variety of nature is evident in the botanical garden Giardini della Mortella. Its exotic plants, fountains, ponds and buildings can be particularly enjoyed during a walk with a sea view. The Ravino Garden, on the other hand, offers rather prickly plants with cacti and succulents.
