Port Frederikshavn

The harbour town of Frederikshavn is particularly popular as a holiday destination because of its clean beaches with low surf. A walk through the town takes you past beautiful churches and the 17th century defensive fortress of Nørdre Skanse. Its powder tower now serves as a museum. When the palm trees are set up on the North Beach during the summer months, there is a touch of the Caribbean in the air in Frederikshavn.
