The Ayvalık ferry port can be reached via well-developed roads:

  • From Istanbul, follow the E881 towards Canakkale. Then take the exit to Balikesir and follow the signs on the E87 to Ayvalık.
  • From Izmir, take the E87 north to Ayvalık.
  • From towns further east, you can take the D230 or D240 and follow the signs to Ayvalık.

Arrival by bus & train
