The new fast ferry MARGARITA SALAS was handed over to the Spanish shipping company by the Armon shipyard in Gijon. Baleària shipping company. Technical highlights for even more comfort
The MARGARITA SALAS enables a fast crossing of 3.5 hours between the Spanish mainland and the Balearic Islands. A sophisticated stabilization system that minimizes fluctuations during the journey ensures a pleasant journey. New technologies also reduce vibrations and noise on board, which not only increases passenger comfort but also protects the environment.
Sustainability on board
The Ferry is equipped with shore power connections, which make it possible to save fuel in port and reduce CO₂ emissions. Thanks to its two LNG tanks, the MARGARITA SALAS can travel up to 460 miles using only gas as fuel. In total, she achieves a range of 1,000 miles, which corresponds to around 1,609 km.
Comfort and luxury
The additional passenger deck of the MARGARITA SALAS offers an extended lounge and an enlarged sun deck. Particularly comfortable seats have been installed in the VIP lounge to further increase travel comfort. The 126 million euro ship was financed by the EU Next Generation Fund.
