Baleària expands ferry connection to Algeria
New route from Alicante to Oran
Since August 3, 2024
Baleària has been offering a new weekly ferry service between Alicante in Spain and Oran in Algeria.
This new route complements the existing three departures from Valencia to Mostaganem, meaning that Baleària now offers four weekly connections between Spain and Algeria in summer.
Comfortable journey with the KERRY
The new route will be served by the RoPax ferry KERRY.
This ship can accommodate 992 passengers and has 2,040 meters of cargo space.
On board you will find a restaurant, a store and a children’s play area, so that all needs are catered for.
The KERRY reaches a top speed of 24 knots and was originally built in 2001 for Caronte & Tourist.
On course since 2016
Baleària has been connecting Spain and Algeria since 2016 and offers around 6,000 seats for passengers every week.
With this new route to Oran, the shipping company is expanding its offer and improving accessibility to Algeria from Spain.
